In accordance with SSCAC, Inc.'s commitment to providing and maintaining a workplace that is free of known hazards, we are adopting this policy to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our clients and visitors; and the community at large from COVID-19. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), vaccinations help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and experiencing the most severe consequences of the disease.
It is our understanding and desire that this policy will comply with all applicable laws and is based on guidance from the CDC and both federal and local authorities, as applicable. Specifically, on September 9, 2021, President Biden required the Department of Labor to develop a rule requiring all employers with at least 100 employees to mandate that their employees are vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo regular testing. The President also required most federal employees to get vaccinated (with no option for testing) and that all teachers and staff in Head Start Programs get vaccinated. Additional guidance is expected from the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding this mandate. As such, SSCAC reserves the right to modify this policy at any time in its sole discretion, including to adapt to changing circumstances and business needs, consistent with its commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Please acknowledge the COVID 19 federal vaccine mandate here by signing:
